4y$~sAN~o~ CITY of PLEASANTON <br />~~; . <br />O~ <br />~~° Planning Commission <br />`~pMi9 f <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />~ Gt8 December 8, 1970 <br />Time ; 9:00 PM <br />Pla C8: Pleasanton Justice Court <br />A resolution recommending approval of UP-70- <br />22, was entered and passed. <br />MATTERS FOR Clarifica tion of intentions of Mr. Howard <br />COMMISSION'S REVIEW Neely regarding his six-months interim use <br />of facilities at 4371 Valley Avenue, to <br />liquidate his stock remaining from previous <br />Main Street shop. <br />The staff clarified the position taken by <br />Mr. Neely, who was also present. <br />The conclusion given by the Commission was <br />that Mr. Neely could retain what Christmas <br />orders had already been made, but that no <br />new orders for new stock could be taken, <br />also that no extension of his permit could <br />be given. <br />COMMUNICATIONS Request from MacKay & Somps for one-year ti <br />extension of Tentative Tract #2980, Vintage <br />Hills. <br />This time extension approval appeared to be <br />simply a matter of formality. The staff did <br />not feel there were any problems involved. <br />However, Chairman Garrigan and some of the <br />other Commissioners felt that when time <br />extensions come up for renewal, that that <br />would be the time to take a longer, harder <br />look at the recommendations for approval. <br />Also, a tentative map should be submitted <br />with each request fora time extension. <br />It was the Commission's feeling that these <br />matters should be thoroughly reviewed from <br />now on, rather than perfuntorily granting <br />extensions . <br />This item was then continued to January 26, <br />1971. <br />- 2 - <br />
