4v~,~,s~~vToti <br />CITY of PLEASANTON <br />.~; <br />.~ <br />`~~~° Planning Commission <br />MN^0 S <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />DCte ; January 12, 1971 <br />Time : 8:25 PM <br />PIQCe: Pleasanton Justice Court <br />A Mr. Averill Mix representing Howard Hanse <br />and Ann Marie Mix, remarked about the meeti <br />held at the County, which was a preliminary <br />meeting. He stated that the meeting was <br />notable for its lack of information. Only <br />two agencies expressed concern - Department <br />of Agriculture Sofl Conservation Office <br />because of undercutting in Stages 2 and 3, <br />and possible problem of erosion and slippag <br />of land. The other agency was the Water <br />Quality Control Board. These problems may <br />take three to four months to resolve, there <br />fore, no action should be taken on this <br />application. <br />A Mr. Chuck Allen with Mutual Land Company <br />also spoke against this application. <br />Regarding the site north of Interstate X580, <br />on Croak Road, the following comments were <br />offered. <br />Mr. Burke Critchfield, attorney, representi <br />the owners of this application, spoke in <br />favor of it. This site will encompass 160 <br />Another advantage to this conditional use <br />permit, was that the land will revert back <br />to the zoning it presently carries, and <br />Mr. Critchfield pointed these factors out a <br />well as the willingness of his client to <br />dedicate this land for park purposes after <br />the site is filled in 20 years. <br />Mr. Critchfield stressed that this dump <br />site, if approved, would be for the use of <br />the City of Pleasanton, as well. <br />A Mrs. Evelyn Bankhead owning property <br />adjacent, spoke against it. <br />Mr. W. D. Armstrong, representing Gill/ <br />McFarland, opposed the application. <br />Also present was a Mr. Sanford Berliner, wh <br />spoke in opposition of this proposal. <br />Mr. Berliner also represented the interests <br />of Gi11JMcFarland. <br />- 9 - <br />
