,qy~"sAN~oy S A T O N
CITY of PLEA N
~~~ Co mission
.~..o.~ Planning m
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
D Ot8 January 12, 1971
Time : s:2s PM
Plo ce: Pleasanton Justice Court
Vice Chairman Pons felt that a good point
had been taken that this is a General Plan
amendment and not a specific change in zone
designation.
Commissioner Pereira felt that the removal
of the C-F zoning south of Vineyard Avenue
is perhaps in error, as he felt there is a
need for some C-F or C-S zoning. Commission r
Pereira felt that realistically, Vineyard
Avenue and its vicinity would definitely nee
certain services provided by the C-F and
C-S Districts, and the lack of these facili-
ties would cause heavier traffic flow into t e
commercial areas elsewhere within the City.
It was Commissioner Pereira's feeling that
perhaps the acreage could be reduced but
not eliminated entirely.
Commissioner Wood suggested that the
Commission go along with the requested
continuance as requested by both parties
who spoke at the hearing.
This was granted to February 9, 1971.
REZONING REQUEST Foothill Road Study - application of the
RZ-70-17, Continued Planning Commission for an amendment to
to Feb. 23, 1971. Ordinance No. 520 assigning specific zoning
districts in accordance with the Pleasanton
General Plan as amended by Resolution
No. 70-24U to an area containing approxi-
mately 17.45 acres, and located generally
southeast of the intersection of Bernal
Avenue and Foothill Road, Pleasa nton.
The Public Hearing was opened. Acting
Secretary Aiello advised the Commission tha
he had received a telephone call from the
attorney for Castlewood Enterprises, Mr.
Russell Roessler, requesting a continuance
as he could not be present due to a prior
commitment.
- 4 -
