Jim Belda and Bob Neilebeck,
with their environmental/recreation planner,
Mr. Len McVicar of Center for Environmental
Design.
Mr. Neilebeck indicated that they will be
spending $26,000, with an additional $13,000
for trees and landscaping. Total cost for
landscaping including trees, recreation
facilities and entire open space areas will
total nearly $200,000.
Mr. Belch spoke next and cited Condition 14
of Resolution No. 1046 incorporated with
approval of the tentative map where the
developer will be required to pay a fee of
$200 in lieu of park dedication per dwelling
unit. He felt this would be prohibitive to
the homeowner.
Considerable discussion followed.
It was the general feeling among the
Commission that the park and recreational
and open space facilities proposed by Besco
would not relieve the City of providing othe
facilities, nor would it qualify Besco
under the Park Dedication Ordinance require-
ments for their requested credit.
Accordingly, Resolution 1062 was proposed
and unanimously adopted denying Besco's
request for credit against their park dedi-
cation requirements.
Situation surrounding the operation of
Dr. Carnazzo under the conditions of his
permit for an emergency-oriented operation.
Neither the doctor nor his attorney could be
present and a request was received by the
department at 4:00 PM that day requesting a
continuance to February 9, 1971.
- 3 -
