CITY of PLEASANT4N <br />~ ',~ • <br />.~ <br />`~~`~° Planning Commission <br />.~..o <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />D Gt8 February 9, 1971 <br />Time ; s:25 Pr~t <br />PIGCB; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />The City Attorney emphasized the~need for a <br />clarification of "emergency" and other facto s <br />pertaining to the emergency operation given <br />the doctor by City Council. <br />Several questions needed to be answered and <br />Mr. Corley indicated he would make a listing <br />of them and have answers by the meeting of <br />February 23, 1971. <br />Among the questions to be answered were: <br />1. Does he live at 1598 Santa Rita Road, <br />and ~f not, where is. he presently residing. <br />2. Does he see other patients not on an <br />emergency basis, i.e., as a regular family <br />doctor. <br />It was also noted that there is a patrol car <br />and guard patrolling the house at night. Is <br />this true? <br />3. How many people does he employ on the <br />premises. <br />4. How much added traffic is generated. <br />Dr. Ralph Juhl, partner.: of the medical <br />office complex at Black and Santa Rita Road, <br />spoke against the use of a single-family <br />dwelling fora doctor's office. He felt <br />this is not justified, and that the doctor <br />should obtain the proper zoning. <br />Mr. Brian McQuade, 4187 Alvarado Street, <br />neighbor across the street and spokesman <br />for the opposition, requested that when the <br />matter is heard on February 23, 1971, that <br />it be placed at the top of the agenda so <br />that his group - who had been attending <br />several sessions now - would not have too <br />long a wait to plead their case. <br />This request was granted to Mr. McQuade and <br />the matter was put over to February 23, in <br />order that Dr. Carnazzo - who was called aw <br />on an emergency - could be present. <br />
