CITY of PLEASANT4N
~ ',~ •
.~
`~~`~° Planning Commission
.~..o
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
D Gt8 February 9, 1971
Time ; s:25 Pr~t
PIGCB; Pleasanton Justice Court
The City Attorney emphasized the~need for a
clarification of "emergency" and other facto s
pertaining to the emergency operation given
the doctor by City Council.
Several questions needed to be answered and
Mr. Corley indicated he would make a listing
of them and have answers by the meeting of
February 23, 1971.
Among the questions to be answered were:
1. Does he live at 1598 Santa Rita Road,
and ~f not, where is. he presently residing.
2. Does he see other patients not on an
emergency basis, i.e., as a regular family
doctor.
It was also noted that there is a patrol car
and guard patrolling the house at night. Is
this true?
3. How many people does he employ on the
premises.
4. How much added traffic is generated.
Dr. Ralph Juhl, partner.: of the medical
office complex at Black and Santa Rita Road,
spoke against the use of a single-family
dwelling fora doctor's office. He felt
this is not justified, and that the doctor
should obtain the proper zoning.
Mr. Brian McQuade, 4187 Alvarado Street,
neighbor across the street and spokesman
for the opposition, requested that when the
matter is heard on February 23, 1971, that
it be placed at the top of the agenda so
that his group - who had been attending
several sessions now - would not have too
long a wait to plead their case.
This request was granted to Mr. McQuade and
the matter was put over to February 23, in
order that Dr. Carnazzo - who was called aw
on an emergency - could be present.
