4y$~-SA1VTOti CITY of PLEASANTON
~~~ C mission
«.,o Planning om
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
Date February 23, 1971
Time : s: oo PM
Place; Pleasanton Justice Court
Mr. John Corley spoke for the applicants.
Commissioner Hirst had no comments at this
time.
Commissioner Pons was still opposed.
Commissioner Wood felt that the original
application was not the most satisfactory,
and that the applicant is now requesting an
expansion. Perhaps the RM-4 parcel not
included in this application should be given
to the City for park land or as extra open
space, should this application be approved.
Commissioner Pereira stated that he was
originally opposed to the location of the
hospital. At the time of its approval, he
insisted on adequate room size and certain
other modifications. He feels that some
turnaround at the end of Del Sol Avenue is
going to be required, however, at this time
the Public Works Department has not finaliz
anything on this.
Commissioner Pereira emphasized proper
aesthetics for the elderly who might reside
(there.
Commissioner Pereira felt that the two con-
siderations are (1) should they approve the
hose ital with good design; and (2) what to
do about the RM-4 property fronting Del Sol
Avenue. This RM-4 property is 150 ft. deep
and 220 ft. wide.
Mr. Corley stated that if the RM-4 piece is
developed at this time, it would hold no
more than two duplexes and the cost would be
.$10,000 to put in the emergency turn-around
on Del Sol Avenue. He felt that perhaps the
Commission could put this parcel in a Study
(District.
- 3 -
