Although he acknowledged a superior
park plan, he still had mixed feelings about
.the bicycle trail, and was quite disappointe<
.with the housing styles presented. He felt
they lacked imagination. He further indi-
'cated he would like to see some relief on
.Kaiser Road and then completion of the park.
'He also felt that the bicycle trails, althou~
',controversial should be considered. Also,
that sidewalks should go in on both sides of
the street in the single-family areas.
Commissioner Hirst felt that because of some
unanswered questions, the application should
be continued. The Chairman disagreed, saying
acceptance or denial should be given that
evening.
The City Attorney then clarified the proce-
dures under the PUD and that it is not valid
for the Commission to deny an application in
its tentative stage on the grounds of design'
deficiencies.
After some further debate, a resolution
recommending approval for the tentative
development plan and corresponding
tentative map was entered and passed.
Chairman Garrigan abstained from voting as
he felt strongly that the design deficiencie
precluded his ability to vote at this time.
- 4 -
