~~~,~-s~N~~ti <br />Y ~•~ • <br />~~: o <br />,~ <br />.~ .o <br />CITY of PLEASANTON <br />Planning Commission <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />DGt@ ; April 27, 1971 <br />Time : 8: oo PM <br />PIGCB: Pleasanton Justice Court <br />MATTERS FOR INFOR- <br />NATION OF COMMISSION <br />The Acting Secretary advised that Humble <br />Oil is proposing a service station for the <br />southeast corner of Hopyard and Valley in th <br />SDC shopping center, and requested that <br />the entire procedure which will include a <br />variance fora reduction of 2 parking spaces <br />the signing program, design plans for the <br />station and the conditional use permit could <br />be heard by the Commission as a whole. <br />The reply was in the affirmative, <br />matter will be considered on May <br />Regarding the phone booths for Main Street, <br />Mr. Aiello advised that the telephone compan <br />has four models which they utilize, and the <br />real question lies in whether the City can <br />afford the style of phone booth which would <br />be more compatible with the downtown distric <br />Discussion ensued on Merrill Grotenhuis's <br />developments and the many discrepancies the <br />staff has noticed from approved plans. It <br />was the instruction of Commission to go ahea <br />and place a Stop Work Order on his entire <br />project, if he makes no effort to correct th <br />problems. <br />The City Attorney advised that he had some <br />favorable information re: the park dedicatio <br />ordinance decision by the State Supreme <br />Court, and a report on this would be forth- <br />coming. <br />',The staff also advised that they would like <br />'to start a study on uses in the C-S District <br />.and perhaps have these apply conditionally <br />to the C-C District. The Commission gave <br />their go-ahead on this. <br />- 5 - <br />
