~~$~,sANToy <br />CITY of PLEASANTON <br />.~~ o <br />.~.:o~-~ Planning Commission <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />Date ; May 11, 1971 <br />Time : s:oo PM <br />Pla C8: Pleasanton Justice Court <br />The Acting Secretary reiterated the staff <br />report for the benefit of t}ae Commissioners, <br />ending his remarks with the comment that the <br />staff supports the development plans as <br />proposed. <br />Also present at the hearing was Mr. George <br />Oakes, representing the applicant. Con- <br />siderable discussion followed on the type of <br />architecture being proposed, especially sinc <br />it lies off ~'S80 and to an extent would be <br />a motorist's impression of Pleasanton. <br />Mr. Oakes indicated <br />to FHA hone prices <br />$23,000. <br />that they have <br />running between <br />Mr. Oakes then demonstrated a rendering <br />showing the end elevations of every building <br />and how they will relate to the entire de- <br />velopment. Also the rear views of each unit <br />facing the single-family area to the south <br />have been modified to conform more closely <br />with the appearance of the fronts of each <br />building. <br />Mr. Oakes also presented samples of composi- <br />tion roof shingles and a texture known as <br />Tex-Cote, which he requested the option to <br />utilize in place of the requested cedar <br />shakes for the roof materials and stucco for <br />the siding. Question arose on the metal <br />carports Mr. Oakes is proposing. Mr. Aiello <br />opposed its use and discussion followed on <br />this. <br />then closed. <br />A resolution recommending approval of the <br />final development plans subject to conditio <br />noted in the staff reports, was entered and <br />passed. <br />- 5 - <br />
