Mike Hemp
and Les Morgan. In addition, Mr. Rich
Branchini, owner of the Union Oil station on
Santa Rita Road, spoke in opposition.
PLANNED UNIT DEVELOP-
MENT - FTNAI. PIANS
PUD-69-8, Approved,
Res. 1088.
There being no further discussion, the
Public Hearing was closed.
Commissioner Hirst felt that Hopyard and
Valley, according to the General Plan is a
major geographical point fora service stat
If this were not so, he would be opposed to
an added service station.
However, the other Commissioners were not
in favor of this additional station, as they
felt the addition of another station at
Hopyard and Valley would not be feasible at
this particular time; also that that partic-
ular corner would be detrimental to the
present circulation pattern of Valley Avenue
at Hopyard Road. Another reason was that
the community growth in the vicinity does
not warrant the addition of this station now,
In addition, the service station is under
separate ownership from the shopping center.
Discussion followed.
A resolution recommending denial for the
conditional use permit for this service
station, was entered and passed.
First Pleasanton Investors - application for
final development plan and final map approva
for PUD-69-8, a single-family townhouse
project generally located immediately south
of Interstate #580 and easterly of Tassajara
Road within the Pleasanton Meadows sub-
division.
