q~$~s"N~~y CITY of PLEASANTON <br />%. <br />.~ <br />~-~° Planning Commission <br />.~..o. <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />D Ct8 ; May 25, 1971 <br />Time : 8:0o PM <br />PIQ C8: Pleasanton Justice Court <br />Mr. Davidson later stated that he foresaw <br />no problem with financing all at one time <br />as several loan companies are offering. <br />There was considerable discussion by the <br />Commission regarding the unique situation <br />of the rural pasture land. Mr. Davidson <br />stated that $75.00 per month per unit is <br />the estimated cost for maintainance.. He <br />stated that through his experience as a <br />realtor he has discovered that a project of <br />this nature is in demand. <br />The meeting was open for questions. <br />(There was a good deal of public response. <br />',The following spoke against the proposal: <br />,Mrs. Gruening, 446 Sycamore Road, who thought <br />',that ~ of the easement was on her property. <br />!Mr. Eugene Fowler, 5791 San Juan Way, Mr. <br />'Ben York, 657 Happy Vally Road and Mr. Bud <br />Barlow, 6723 Alisal, who opposed the locatioc <br />Mr. Peter Bailey, 6699 Alisal, member of the <br />Alisal Improvement Club and 4-H opposed the <br />grazing of 16 horses and the encroachment of <br />this development. He stated that The Alisal <br />Improvement Club was in the process of <br />establishing riding trails for the area. <br />Mr. Wes Sears, 417 Sycamore, who stated that <br />he was in real estate and has had many <br />customers seeking a rural setting, but he <br />did not feel that this complex would be <br />appealing to the majority. Especially as <br />the horses would be shared and not owned <br />individually. He expressed concern about <br />the traffic on Sycamore and questioned the <br />sewage and water facilities. <br />Others speaking against the proposal were: <br />Christine Pearson, 596 Hamilton Way, who <br />asked if existing trees will be incorporated <br />into the plan. She opposed the traffic <br />increase. Chile Barlow, 6723 Alisal, H.T. <br />English, 5755 San Juan Way, Tom Green, 386 <br />Sycamore, Ted Johnson, 6267 Alisal, Pete <br />Vermoor, 948 Happy Valley, Mary Sturmer, <br />Sycamore Rd, Frank Beratlis, Sycamore Rd. <br />-4 <br />
