q~$~BAN~~y CITY of PLEASANTON <br />~ ''~ - <br />,~ <br />*° Planning Commission <br />+rrrv t <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />D Gt8 August 24, 1971 <br />Time : ~:lo PM <br />PIaCe; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />Commissioner Hirst clarified that the appli- <br />cant has applied for land that is zoned R-1 <br />rather than multiple. Mx. Bowling confirmed <br />that it was appraised as R-1. Commissioner <br />Hirst asked that a condition be added to sta <br />that certain funds derived from the sale be <br />used for park improvement. <br />Commissioner Pereira entered a resolution <br />to approve said request with the above <br />mentioned condition. This resolution was <br />approved unanimously. <br />MATTERS FOR Stoneson Development Co., P.U.D.-69-5, <br />COMMISSION'S REVIEW Tract 3150 - request to review roof material <br />change from shake to shingly. <br />P.U.D.-69-5 <br />(roof materials) Commissioner Hirst stated that he felt the <br />Approved, Res. No.lll a.ty was sold a program on the basis of <br />design of certain treatments and is now in <br />a situation where it is being altered and <br />further stated that he felt if it is to be <br />altered it should go through the entire <br />process. <br />Commissioner Pereira entered a resolution <br />amending the previous resolution to read <br />"wood shingles" as opposed to "wood shake". <br />This was seconded by Commissioner Pons. <br />At this point, the meeting was interupted by <br />some Stoneson residents who objected to the <br />fact that this decision was a change from <br />the one made at the open hearing. Chairman <br />Garrigan expalined that this is a clarificat <br />of what we were talking about then. Shakes <br />don't go with the design of the exterior of <br />the buildings. Architecturally speaking, wood <br />shingles do and this is the recommendation <br />for modifying the previous resolution. The <br />vote was then taken, Commissioner Hirst and <br />Chairman Garrigan voting no and all others <br />voting aye. Permission was given to use <br />wood shingles.
