He feels that we
cannot affort any extra students right now
and is against the speed of development. He
said that we have to find out what we can
handle.
Joe Chicorella, representing the owners,
stated that the General Plan does call for
multiples and at the suggestion of the City
Manager they let the P.U.D. expire. He
further stated that they have had inquiries
from people who wanted to use it as a quarry.
Mr. Feichtmeir again spoke to the Commission
regarding his doubts that there will be a
significant number of school children genera
from this project.
s no one else wished to speak, the public
Baring was closed.
Commissioner Pons advised the applicant that
density is a problem and it is very hard for
the Commission to approve higher density at
this time.
Commissioner Pereira indicated that he liked
the plan and found it innovative, but felt
that we cannot be insensitive to the density
problem. There are some people who donut
want the land developed ever.
Commissioner Hirst stated his approval of the
plan and location, which would put it across
the street from the future civic center.
hairman Garrigan felt that we are going to
ave to slow down gorwth until we catch our
reath.
- 13 -
