4~~~sAN~°y CITY of PLEASANTO~V
~ '~i
po
`~~~° Planning Commission
•~.M fD ~
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
D Gt8 : August 24, 1971
Time : 8:1o PM
PIaCe; Pleasanton Justice Court
retain the hill with its natural amenities
and he would not condemn the conception of
clusters of single-family residences as long
as they maintained a 4.7 density as recom-
mended by the General Pla n. He concluded by
asking the Commission that the matter of the
I-P and Public District be readdressed to
the City Council for a more positive directi n.
Mr. Ray Feichtmeir, representing the applica t,
addressed the Commission. He read a paragra
'from the annexation agreement dated 3-4-63
by the City of Pleasanton. He then outlined
jhis project and described how by not cutting
ithe hill and the addition of greenery will
,enhance the hills. He further reported that
the Parks and Recreation Commission changed
the park location to Pico Avenue in order
to have frontage.
Commissioner Hirst asked how long it would b
for it to be built and occupied. Mr. Feicht eir
replied that the earliest would be 10 to 12
months, the balance would take possibly two
more years. It would probably be 3 to 4 yea s
when everything is built.
Chuck Seymour, 492 San Gabriel Court, stated
that this application from a land use and
from a life style point of view is a disaste
for Mission Park. There are already an
over abundance of multiples planned for
Mission Park. The future of Mission Park
is at stake. He felt that any further
development should be delayed until the
proper improvements can be put in.
Bruno Buti, 19992 Redwood Road, Castro Valle ,
stated that he has been interested in seeing
how this project develops. He suggested tha
the Commission would be making a mistake
turning down a good feasible project.
- 12 -
