The Commission <br />unanimously approved the staff's intention <br />in this regard and will support this action. <br />Mr. Aiello called the Commission's attention <br />to the brochure outlining the School Dis- <br />trict's situation for the benefit of new <br />home buyers in the City. He then asked <br />Commissioner Hirst to report on this brochur <br />Commissioner Hirst then outlined the 4-page <br />brochure that he and Commissioner Pereira <br />drafted, which is to be made available to <br />prospective home buyers through the sales <br />offices of the developers. He also said <br />that he felt a signed copy should be <br />retained in the permanent record file. He <br />further felt that the builders should be <br />required to place tract numbers in their <br />newspsper advertising for easier identificat <br />This was discussed further and may be con- <br />sidered by the City Council as an ordinance. <br />Commissioner Hirst concluded by saying that <br />they would like to hear any suggestions <br />regarding the brochure. Chairman Garrigan <br />commended both the Commissioners for their <br />efforts in producing this report. <br />Commissioner Wood asked that there be a <br />joint meeting set up with the Hayward <br />Planning Commission and Mr. Aiello replied <br />that he would contact 47arren Rumberg of <br />that Commission in this regard. <br />Commissioner Wood reported that he tried to <br />call the Department of Community Development <br />several times and did not receive a return <br />ca 11. <br />,on. <br />- 4 - <br />
