Commissioner Wood will
attend this meeting with Mr. Castro,
with Commissioner Hirst as an alter-
nate .
Mr. Castro reported that he attended
the last meeting of the Scenic High-
way Committee at which time there
was a comparison made of the three
ordinances regarding signs, and they
concluded that there was very little
difference in the ordinance require-
ments . Mr. Castro did say that the
County was the more restrictive in
some respects , Pleasanton was some-
here in the middle and Livermore
as the more relaxed ordinance.
lameda County Planning Director,
ill Fraley, recommended that if they
ere to change, they would adopt our
rdinance as it is the most realistic
approach to the signing program.
uture meetings will be set up if it
's determined that there is a need
for them.
r. Castro reported that the Depart
f Community Development has set up
Zoning Enforcement Division and
r. Robinson has been assigned to
hat full time.
r. Castro discussed the multiple
re as that are being converted to
or sale projects. City Attorney,
ill Hirst, felt that the permanent
olution to the problem would be to
mend the zoning ordinance. The
ommission concurred with this. The
ity Attorney agreed to look into it
urther.
-10-
