Chairman Garrigan instructed the <br />applicant to abstain from any sales <br />transactions. <br /> <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />nce. <br />CONDITIONAL Citizen's Federal Savings and Loan Associati n. <br />USE PERMIT To allow a Savings and Loan institution to <br />UP-71-24, locate in an C-N (Commercial Neighborhood) <br />Continued District on the southeast corner of Hopyard <br /> Road and Valley Avenue, Pleasanton, or more <br /> commonly known as the Alpha Beta Shopping <br /> Center area. <br /> Mr. Castro stated that it was his understand ng <br /> that the Chamber of Commerce would like to <br /> address themselves to this question. Mr. <br /> John Stanley, President of the Chamber of <br /> Commerce was present and stated that he <br /> would request a continuance of this matter <br /> for two weeks pending a review by the Chambe <br /> membership as to the location of said saving <br /> and loan. <br /> Mr. Walter Bogel, representing the applicant <br /> was present and stated that they would not <br /> object to a continuance on this matter, but <br /> would not like to see a great deal of time <br /> lost. He further stated that there is a <br /> difference in the procedure by which a <br /> savings and loan association receives approv <br /> from that of a commercial bank. He stated <br /> that they could not have obtained authority <br /> to open a branch if they had applied for a <br /> site close to another savings and loan, such <br /> - 3 - <br />
