q~$~sAN~°y CITY of PLEASANT01~
~~~.
.~
~~~° Planning Commission
.~..o t
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
D a18 October 2 1971
Time : s:oo PM
PIGCe; Pleasanton Justice Court
Chairman Garrigan asked the City Attorney
about the Council's direction regarding
rezonings and the City Attorney felt that
this does fall within the guidelines set
by Council for areas tributary to V.C.S.D.
John Corley, representing the applicant,
was present and confirmed that they are
currently under application with the Bay
Area Comprehensive Health Planning Board
sand that their application was denied, but
are filing an appeal.
There was considerable discussion and Mx.
Corley asked that if this has to be denied
that the Commission express to the Council
its approval of this as a land use.
Mx. Henry Farrell, General Manager of San
Ramon Village Co. was present and stated
that he felt this plan was compatible with
their plans for that area.
As no one else wished to speak, the public
hearing was closed.
The Commission raised several questions
regarding this application as it does fall
within the V.C.S.D. service area.
Mr. Castro expressed concern regarding the
anticipated traffic problem which would be
generated at the Hopyard and ~~580 interchan
and also with the fact that this may not be
a compatible use for the surrounding I-G
District.
Commissioner Pereira moved to continue this
and it was seconded by Commissioner Hirst.
The Commission voted unanimously to continue
this application until the next regular
meeting.
- 2 -
