~4~$AS~N~°y CITY of PLEASANTON
~~; .
w 40
`~~~° Planning Commission
~rrao t
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
Date January 11, 1972
Time : 8:0o PM
PIaCe: Pleasanton Justice Court
Mr. Gary Patton addressed himself to the
parks. He explained that there were three
park sites approved for this area, but
specifically referred to the 2.7 acre park
noted in orange on the map. This park does
not meet the minimum standards adopted by
the City and therefore asked that the size
of this park be increased.
In rebuttal, Mr. Ted Fairfield, representi
the applicant presented the following: He
objected to the removal of the 11 lots on
Hansen Drive. He also explained that a
cabana is to be built near the park.
Following the City's and developer's pre-
sentation, a lengthly discussion developed
responding to questions or statements by
the Planning Commission with a final con-
clusion developing in a compromise which was
resolved as follows: The developer agreed
to resolve the lot frntages on Hansen Drive
and the future overpass of Interstate #680
in exchange for subdividing the 2.7 acre
neighborhood park into single-family detache
homes. The remaining question to be
resolved concerned the deferred improvements
on Valley Avenue. This matter was resolved
in the following manner: That the developer
and the Public Works Director shall equate
dollars and cents between landscaping a 10
foot wide area. It was further concluded
that if the cost of providing sidewalks and
landscaping did not exceed the improvement
cost for total landscaping, the difference
would be paid to the City and be applied
within the Mackay tract development.
Chairman Garrigan entered a resolution
incorporating the changes previously stated
and including a condition for the illuminat
of house numbers. This was secoaded and
carried unanimously.
- 9 -
