4y$~sAN~oy C TY of PLEASANTON <br />I <br />o <br />.~.:ot~ Planning Commission <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR .MEETING. <br />Date ~ February 8, 1972 <br />Time ; 8 : oo PM <br />Place; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Commissioner Wood entered a resolu- <br />tion that a six month extension be <br />granted and that all conditions be <br />met with the exception of allowing <br />the trailers only to be parked in <br />the front. <br />Commissioner Hirst amended this so <br />that the six month extension would <br />date from this date. This was sec- <br />onded and carried unanimously. <br />Review of City's position regarding Motion: <br />Kaiser Reclamation Project. Seconded: <br />Ayes: <br />Commissioner Pons referred to the Noes: <br />previous meeting of the Planning Absent: <br />Commission when this matter was con- Abstain: <br />sidered. At that meeting, Commissio er <br />Pereira and Chairman Garrigan were <br />absent and asked if they had any <br />comments at this time. <br />Chairman Garrigan felt that this use <br />is an objectionable one and being in <br />the City does not make it better. <br />He further indicated that he did not <br />accept point number two of the City's <br />stated position regarding this pro- <br />ject. More specifically, he objected <br />to the sentence referring to <br />Pleasanton's recognition of its role' <br />in the Metropolitan Bay Area and itsi <br />responsibility to the solid waste <br />problems of the Region. ~~ <br />X <br />XI ~X I X <br />-8- <br />
