No. 1158 Review of patio structure for Mackay Homes patio house and complex (P.U.D.-69-7). Mr. Castro indicated that the staff has received a request for a varia- tion in the kinds of materials to be used in this project. Mr. Castro asked the Commission for a general policy to follow in these matters. Can the staff review it and make the decision knowing generally what the Commission would like to see? The Commission felt that as long as the staff feels it is aesthetically acceptable it would be better for the staff to make this judgment as long as it meets the requirements of -the P.U.D. Arrow Rentals - renewal of use permi for Arrow Rentals, 4301 Valley Ave., Pleasanton. (Western Sierra complex) Mr. Castro indicated that the staff had some questions that needed to be answered by Western Sierra, a sub- sidiary of American Forest Products. A meeting was held with a represen- tative of Western Sierra and based on information supplied to him, the staff would recommend that this permit be extended for six months, for the following reasons. 1) We feel there are some very major land use decisions to be made shortly. 2) There are questions as to what ramifications these major land uses will have on existing properties City-wide. 3) Also concern was expressed by Mr. Castro as to what new directions the new Council would have after April of this year.
