He <br />further indicated that the selection for th <br />Civic Center site was made four or five <br />years ago and no further action has been <br />taken in this regard as yet. <br />Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works, <br />indicated that this particular situation is <br />negotiable and should be a matter of policy <br />for the Commission. He further indicated <br />that Public Works would like to begin some <br />public improvements in this area because of <br />the Civic Center. Further, the department <br />realizes that this building will eventually <br />be torn down in anticipation of the Civic <br />Center, but there is no indication at prese <br />when this will be. There is an ordinance <br />for a Precise Plan Line for this property, <br />but not a time element on it.
