4y$~-sANToy <br />CITY of PLEASANTON <br />~ ~ '.~ • <br />.~ <br />~~~° Plannong Commission <br />'~1.M t0 ~ <br />SPECIAL <br />MINUTES ~OF ~~XMEETIN~. <br />Dafie ; March ~ 21 , 19 72 <br />Time : 8:00 P.M. <br />PIGCe: Pleasanton Justice Court <br />Mr. Fairfield introduced the prin- <br />cipals connected with the Regional <br />Center Site. <br />From Stoneson, they were Mr. George <br />Detweiler, Mr. Joe Burkhardt of <br />Bayshore Properties, Mr. Charles <br />Clifford, Project Attorney, Mr. Robe <br />Eynck, Mr. Avner Naggar, Architect, <br />and Mr. Art Schumacher. <br />From Homart, the representatives <br />were Mr. Jack Wagley, Director of <br />Planning and Construction, and <br />Mr. Steve Rollings, Attorney. <br />Mr. Wagley read from a report indi- <br />cating that because of some diffi- <br />culties in securing major tenants <br />and because the Highway Department <br />has now confirmed that there will <br />be an interchange at Stoneridge <br />Drive and Interstate #680, Homart <br />feels that their best interests <br />would be served by seeking a joint <br />venture with Stoneson Construction <br />Company for the development of a <br />shopping center on the Stoneson <br />site. <br />Mr. Joe Burkhardt of Bayshore Prop- <br />erties spoke next. He traced the <br />company's background and indicated <br />that they were the developers of <br />the Southland Shopping Center in <br />Hayward, SunValley Center in Concord <br />and the new Eastridge Center in <br />San Jose. <br />-2- <br />
