4y$~-8A1VToy <br />CITY of PLEASANTON <br />~~, . <br />.~ <br />~~° Planning Commission <br />`~l.M t~ S <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />DGfie March 28, 1972 <br />Time : 8:0o P.M. <br />PIGCe; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />Mr. Castro indicated that an educatio al <br />program could be established with <br />this in mind. <br />Study District <br />Properties <br />Commissioner Hirst felt that in the <br />spirit of cooperation a call could <br />be made on the merchants to present <br />this program and he further indicate <br />that in his opinion many of the <br />merchants are not aware of the <br />violations and a simple request from <br />the City could solve many of the <br />problems. <br />Commissioner Pereira felt that the <br />Central Business District is a good <br />place to start the enforcement of si <br />violations, but that an orientation <br />of the shopping center merchants <br />could be accomplished for the same <br />purpose. <br />Chairman Carrigan complimented the <br />staff on a very comprehensive report <br />and moved that this report be approv <br />by the Commission. This was seconde <br />by Commissioner Pereira and carried <br />unanimously. <br />Scheduling of the Study District <br />Properties. <br />Mr. Castro reviewed the staff report <br />regarding this matter. With regard <br />to Area A, this is directly involved <br />with the study of the Downtown area <br />.now being conducted by staff. <br />Regarding Area B, the problem here <br />is sewer capacities and the estab- <br />lishment of a land use recommendation <br />with regard to First and Second Stree s. <br />Areas C, D., E and F are not critical <br />-9 - <br />
