Crabb, the applicant, <br />was present and explained that this <br />ice machine would be a 24-hour self- <br />service vending. machine, landscaped <br />with rock around it to blend in with <br />the surrounding area. He further <br />indicated that Mr. Russell, the Shell <br />Service Station Dealer at the locatio <br />is very interested in adding this <br />operation to his business. <br />The size of the machine was in quest <br />and Mr. Crabb was asked if he could <br />provide a smaller one. He indicated <br />that the smallest 24-hour self servi <br />model would be about 5 X 10, which <br />was still a large model, a size the <br />Commission could not support. <br />Commissioner Hirst suggested that th <br />applicant and the'staff discuss the <br />matter further and see if another <br />arrangement could be worked out, <br />possibly with a smaller reach-in <br />model, which the applicant indicated <br />could be provided. <br />Commissioner Pereira entered a res- <br />olution to deny V-72-6 as submitted. <br />This was seconded by Chairman Garrig <br />and carried unanimously. <br />The applicant was informed of his rig t <br />to appeal this decision to the City <br />Council or to resubmit another type <br />of ice machine for review. <br />-7- <br />
