He <br />indicated that a satisfactory meetin <br />was held with the manager of Safeway <br />and the possibility of obtaining a <br />temporary 30-day permit for outdoor <br />merchantizing was mentioned. <br />Mr. Castro further indicated that <br />further talks are necessary with <br />Alpha Beta. <br />There was a question of whither <br />prohibiting outdoor merchantizing <br />could be enforced. City Attorney, <br />Bill Hirst, indicated there is a <br />City Ordinance to that effect and <br />that they could look into the possi- <br />bility of issuing permits for outsid <br />sale . <br />Mr. Castro advised the Commission <br />that an agenda for the Pleasanton <br />Elementary School District meeting <br />of March 29th to be held at 5:30 P.M. <br />at the School District Office was <br />received and copies were handed out <br />to the Commissioners, in keeping with <br />the Commission's request to be in- <br />formed of School District meetings. <br />REFERRALS FROM Regarding PR-71-18, Urban Park Pro- <br />PARKS AND RECRE- gram Policy, Mr. Castro indicated <br />ATION COMMISION that there should be a meeting <br />PR-71-18, Referred between the two Commissions to dis- <br />to joint meeting cuss this matter. <br />In reference to the Hillside Study <br />being prepared by the Hayward Plann <br />Department, Mr. Castro indicated <br />that Hayward has not communicated <br />-11- <br />
