Dote ;April 25, 1972 Time : 8:08 PM PIQCe: Pleasanton Justice Court Mr. Mariani indicated that although they had no firm commitment from any major tenant, they were working on this and still felt that they had the best site to offer. They also believe that when Livingston & Blayney makes their review, they should study the shopping center site question and make a determinatioi on this. The Commission felt that perhaps this would entail additional cost. The Chairman felt that this study should be under taken by the applicant himself. Mr. Mariani continued to emphasize that the General Plan consultant should undertake the task of determining the appropriate site. A Mr. Francis Crawford, resident of Pleasant< Meadows felt that the question of a regional shopping center was a vital one and perhaps should be given to a study group under the General Plan Review for consideration. The Public Hearing was then closed. Commissioner Pereira expressed the opinion that no presentation had been made by Willow West that evening and under the circumstance. it was impossible to make an evaluation of the situa tion. Commissioner Hirst ask Mr. Mariani when the City staff could expect a presentation from him. The applicant replied that it would be a minimum of 30 days. Chairman Carrigan advised him that when he makes his submittal, hopefully he would include information on tenants, the develo and something more concrete than what was presented that evening. A motion was passed that this item be continued for 30 days in order that the applicant can submit his material for his hearing to be scheduled for June 27.
