4~'$ y <br />~g"N~° CITY of PLEASANTON <br />~+: ; <br />.~ <br />~~ ~ Planning Commission <br />~xrao t <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />DGte ; MaY 9 ,1972 <br />Time : 8.25 PM <br />PIGCe: Pleasanton Justice Court <br />COMMUNICATIONS Secretary Castro referred to the previous <br />directive of Commission to contact owners <br />of Mackay apartments on Hopyard and Golden <br />Road to have renters refrain from parking <br />their vehicle on the future street right-of- <br />way of Hopyard Road. <br />A letter was sent to the manager of the <br />apartments and indications from the owner <br />were that they would take care of the situa- <br />tion. <br />The Commission also requested that the <br />Police Department look into the possibility <br />of posting "No Parking" signs; and whether <br />the manner that motorists are taking to <br />re-enter the main stream of traffic would be <br />of concern to the P~l.ice Department. <br />A letter had been received from Mr. Art <br />Papish, salesman with Cummings & Company, on <br />the Franklin Savings & Loan time and tempera <br />ture sign, requesting that the appeal period <br />for their denial be extended to May 25. <br />Permission was granted <br />REFERRALS FROM ALAMEDA Copies of a letter from Alameda County for <br />COUNTY location of a proposed library at Amador <br />Park was also presented to the Commission <br />for their information. This matter will be <br />reviewed by them on either May 23 or June 13 <br />MATTERS FOR INFORMATION Secretary Castro referred to the article in <br />OF COMMISSION the Times regarding the Police Department <br />enforcing the litter ordinance, particularly <br />in relation to people taking truckloads of <br />discards to the dump. <br />-7- <br />
