gy~ASAN~°y CITY of PLEASANTON <br />~ ~'i . <br />.~ <br />`~~~° Plannang Comr~nission <br />+xr so s <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />Data May 9, 1972 <br />Time : 8:25 PM <br />PIGCe; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />MATTERS FOR <br />COMMISSION'S REVIEW <br />UP-71-10, Approved, <br />Res. 1179 <br />Commissioner Pereira felt that with a P.U.D. <br />the City coull~d control the architecture and <br />the amount of grading and cutting being con- <br />ducted and have reasonable control over the <br />access to The Hill. <br />Vice Chairman Pons agreed with this reasonin <br />and felt the matter should be referred back <br />to staff to do a study to retain as much of <br />the na tura 1 character of the Hil l a s pos si bl <br />If this sh ould be under single-family Planne <br />Unit Development, what should the lot sizes <br />be? Also, regarding the other multiple zoni <br />within the Mission Park area, perhaps con- <br />sideration could be given to reducing their <br />density. <br />Commissioner Hirst indicated that there <br />might be problems with property owners if <br />there fs a swap of densities between the <br />Hill area and the multiples on the flat land <br />area. Discussion followed. <br />Commissioner Hirst then proposed that perhap <br />the staff should study just the Hill area. <br />Vice Chairman Pons indicated that he felt th <br />entire area should be restudied. <br />A resolution was then of fered by the Vice <br />Chairman to retain Area D in the Study Distr ct <br />with the staff instructed to restudy the are . <br />This was seconded by Commissioner Pereira an <br />carried. <br />Mr. Norman Warnow then spoke, indicating tha <br />he hoped the Commission would keep in mind <br />that merchants need a place to locate and <br />that the City be aware of this. <br />Review of the conditional use permit request d Resolution <br />by Humble Oil & Refining Co. for a service Seconded: <br />station to be located at Valley Avenue and Ayes: <br />Hopyard Road, Pleasanton.
