4~$~s"N~~y CITY of PLEASANTON
~r •
~~o
~..o.-~ Planning Commission
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
Dote : May 9, 1972
Time : 8:25 PM
PIOC@: Pleasanton Justice Court
The other Commissioners disagreed with this
approach and the resolution died for lack of
a second.
The City Attorney then clarified that contro
in development would lie with the allocation
of permits and this matter would be made kno n
to applicants at the time they apply for
permits.
A resolution was then offered by Commissioner
Wood, seconded by Commissioner Hirst to lift
the Study District designation from Study
Area B. This resolution received approval
from all present.
Study Area D - this area encompassed certain
lands within the Mission Park area.
Mr. Chuck Seymour, 492 San Gabriel Court,
spoke next. He spoke of the large number of
multiple lots which he felt should be reducec
if possible to lower densities. He agreed
with the staff's recommendation that The Hili
be studied with an eye to zoning it in the
single family district.
It was Commissioner Hirst's feeling that the
type of development that will occur on it is
more significant than the size of the lots o~
the number of units. He felt that its nature
state should be retained as much as possible,
i:e., grading as little as possible for
streets.
Commissioner Pereira 's greatest concern with
this study area concerned The Hill. He felt
the balance of the multiples in the Mission
Park area was acceptable, but that the Hill
area could perhaps be zoned in the P.U.D.,
with a possible recommended density of 4.7,
R-1-6500.
-3-
1
