~''"""°° CITY of PLEASANTON
Planning Commission
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
DGte : July 25 , 19 72
Time : 8:45 P.M.
PIG CB; Pleasanton Justice Court
and office zoning on these parcels
would be a definite threat to the
C.B.D. He was also opposed to the
;Edward Schlies Office zoning appli-
~Ication.
(Discussion followed.
Secretary Castro reminded the Commis-
sion that recommendations were made
by staff to the Commission several
years ago regarding proposed 1 and
uses, but that at that time, they
were unacceptable to either Planning
(Commission or City Council.
Vice Chairman Pons then indicated tha
an overall recommendation should be
forthcoming for this area. Commissio
Wood concurred, stating that this
area should go into a Study District.
He also requested copies of the re-
ports from the previous study at the
time the Commission reviews this
matter again.
Secretary Castro indicated that it wo
be no problem to get a recommendation
back to the Commission in a relativel
short time.
Mr. Fairfield then spoke indicating
that should the Commission decide to
put this area into a Study District,
that recommendation would be synonymo
with a denial for his client.
Upon resolution of Commissioner Wood,
seconded by Commissioner McLain, a
resolution was offered to place the
parcels north of Valley Avenue to and
including E1 Rancho Motel in a Study
District not to exceed 60 days. This
resolution received a majority vote
and carried.
-7-
