It was Mr. <br />Fairfield's contention that the <br />Office zoning would be ideal since it <br />was obvious to him that R-9 residenti 1 <br />zoning would not be applicable, but <br />should the adjoining use eventually <br />change - possibly to multiple resi- <br />dential - he still could not see a <br />conflict with the proposed Office use <br />Mr. Brad Hirst, 2456 Minivet Court, <br />spoke next. He endorsed this appli- <br />cation. He felt the applicant's <br />other alternative would be to locate <br />in the downtown area, which because <br />of the already tight parking situati <br />would not be feasible. <br />e Public Hearing was then closed. <br />Commissioner McLain wished to clarify <br />Secretary Castro's statement to the <br />effect that there could only be one <br />.zoning district for this parcel. Mr. <br />Castro corrected this misconception <br />by remarking that this theory did not <br />necessarily have to be, that perhaps <br />one or a combination of several pos- <br />sible zoning districts would be <br />acceptable. <br />Commissioner Pereira indicated concern <br />with the fact that no definite land <br />use determination has been made for <br />these parcels. <br />Vice Chairman Pons stated that as far <br />as he is concerned, there is only one <br />position he can take since he has gon <br />on record during the 1968 General Pla <br />Review as being opposed to the Wester <br />Sierra and the adjoining parcels' non <br />conforming uses.
