Place; Pleasanton Justice Court Commissioner Pereira wished to know whether the applicant had contacted Blaze Custom Signs to find a solution Mr. Talarico indicated that he had, but that nothing could be worked out. Commissioner Pereira then offered a suggestion for an alternative sign advertisement. Discussion followed. A resolution was then offered by Commissioner Pereira, seconded by Commissioner McLain denying this application without prejudice, and with the added stipulation that Mr. Talarico work with the staff for a possible redesign of the major sign incorporating all his advertising needs. This resolution passed un- animous ly . At the conclusion of the vote, Vice Chairman Pons addressed the audience and explained that this signing or- dinance is a controversial one and obviously, not a very popular one. he explained that no merch ant in town should feel that he is being picked on that because of lack of sufficient personnel, it may take a while for all merchants who may be in violation of the ordinance, to be notified of that fact. But that in due time, all violations will be noted. He con- cluded his remarks by citing the nice appearance of the town and the Com- mission's desire to maintain the at- tractive and unique look of the City., REZONING REQUEST Res . 1191, placed in Study District for not more than 60 days.
