Rod Le Vance, Manager of Roberto' <br />Mens Store, asked who was the indiv- <br />idual who determined that 7 days was <br />an adequate time period for each <br />advertisement special. Mr. Castro <br />explained that a study was made by <br />the Planning Division and it was de- <br />termined that this was an appropriate <br />time period. If more time is needed, <br />the merchant should contact the staff <br />and request additional time. <br />iscussion followed. Also present <br />as Mrs. Manning of Manning's Coffee <br />hop who had a question regarding the <br />llowable square footage for her es- <br />ablishment. She wished to clarify <br />Nether she would need a variance for <br />ore than the amount of signing she <br />ad. The reply was in the affirmativ <br />There being no further discussion, <br />Public Hearing was closed. <br />Commissioner Pereira spoke about the <br />background on this application - that <br />this matter was first brought to the <br />attention of the Commission several <br />months ago. It was hoped that an <br />alternative advertising plan could <br />have been worked out, but nothing <br />appeared to suit the needs of the <br />applicant. <br />-3- <br />
