4y~~sAN~oy CITY of PLEASANTON
~ ~~~ •
,~
`~ ~~° Planning Commission
.~..o
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
Date ; August 8, 1972
Time : 8:00 P.M.
PIG CB; Pleasanton Justice Court
At this time, from the staff's point
of view, the commercial development
is in keeping with the trends of
modern day shopping. No objection
is expressed at this time to the
peripheral concept being suggested.
Regarding the multiples, the staff
does not necessarily have objections
The use is compatible with the
commercial development.
Regarding the Murray School District
proposed school site, information ha
been received that at the school mee
ing the night before, the Board took
action to condemn the twin K-6 and
7-8 school site within this proposed
rezoning. Based on this, the staff
would recommend to the Commission
that they recognize the rezoning re-
quest for the regional center and th
multiple district under a P.U.D., bu
at this time, that they not impose a
definite density level based on the
outcome of the actions taken by the
Murray School District. Until these
matters are resolved, it was
Mr. Castro's opinion, that the Com-
mission should remain flexible about
the density that this development
should carry.
The Public Hearing was then opened.
The applicants spoke first. Mr. Ted
Fairfield, Chief Engineer for
MacKay & Somps introduced the group.
Mr. Charles Clifford, Attorney,
Messrs. Joe Burkhardt and Bob Eynck
of Bayshore Properties, Dave Heldt o
Brown & Heldt, Architects, Messrs.
Don Stoneson, Art Schumacher and
George Detweiler of Stoneson Constru
tion Company.
-3-
