~4y$~s~"~°y C TY of PLEASANTON <br />I <br />.~ <br />`~~~° Plannin Commission <br />+rr so ~ <br />-° g <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />~ at8 September 12, 1972 <br />Time : s:oo PM <br />FIaCe: Pleasanton Justice Court <br />in diameterpasted on the window advertising <br />the different specials are a standard method <br />of advertising for Payless Cleaners, and is <br />not mandatory. <br />Secretary Castro explained to Mrs. Moniz tha <br />the staff recommendation was for denial of <br />the additional circular advertising signs <br />she was asking for. <br />Commissioner Wood wished to make clear to <br />the applicant that there is the stipulation <br />that promotional advertising would be per- <br />mitted for up to seven days; however, it was <br />determined from the applicant that the reque <br />ed additional signs are permanent promotions <br />signs. <br />Public Hearing was then closed. <br />It was emphasized that if the signing is <br />temporary promotional signing, it is permiss <br />ible, and the Chairman indicated that this <br />is a point of interest which the news media <br />could possibly stress. <br />A resolution was then offered by Chairman <br />Garrigan, seconded by Commissioner Wood and <br />carried, denying the applicant's request for <br />additional signing in the form of the circles <br />pasted on the window, but allowing the Payles <br />symbol and the hours of operation. <br />Continued for 90 Days. Study District Area D. <br />Secretary Castro requested that this matter <br />be continued for 90 days in order that <br />Livingston & Blayney can review this particu- <br />la r area for appropriate land use . A fter <br />input has been received from that body, the <br />Planning staff will be in a position to make <br />a proper review and recommendation. <br />ccordingly, this matter was continued for <br />~~ <br />-2- <br />
