q~`~sAN~°~ CITY of PLEASANTON <br />~~ '~~- <br />~~~° Planning Commission <br />~~.Mf~ ~ <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />Date <br />Time <br />Place; <br />LIVERMORE AIRPORT <br />Resolution No. 1205 <br />IThe question of expansion of the Resoluti <br />(Livermore Airport was raised again, Seconded <br />'sand Commissioner Wood wished to Ayes: <br />know whether this Commission should Noes: <br />' <br />go on record as being opposed to Absent: <br />, <br />'lexpansions related to increased air Abstain: <br />traffic. <br />It was learned by some of the <br />Commissioners that Livermore Airport <br />is in the process of or is intending <br />to install new landing directional <br />equipment and that this sophisticated <br />equipment is not needed to serve the <br />smaller type of aircraft presently <br />utilizing the facility. <br />The Commission was then advised by <br />Secretary Castro that the City of <br />Livermore has an application before <br />the FAA and the Airport Land Use <br />Commission is now studying this <br />matter, along with other airports <br />in the Bay Area. <br />It was also brought up that Pleasan- <br />ton has no official representation on <br />the Airport Land Use Commission. <br />Perhaps several interested Commis- <br />Isioners, one Councilman and several <br />interested citizens could serve as <br />',a "watchdog committee." <br />I~It was decided that the City should <br />'begin right away to look into this <br />matter. <br />A resolution was offered by Com- <br />missioner Wood, seconded by Com- <br />missioner McLain and carried, going <br />on record as being opposed to further <br />expansion of the Livermore Airport <br />as it relates to increased air <br />traffic. <br />-7- <br />
