4y~AS"N~°~ CITY of PLEASANTON
~~o
.~.:o~.~ Planning Commission
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. ~` 7 ~
DGte ' October 3, 1972 ~~?
Time : 8:0o P.M.
PIGCe; Pleasanton Justice Court
Mr. Mann wished to have the staff's
opinion on whether the City would
be amenable to having this type of
apparatus installed at their office
on Main Street. Discussion followed
on the noise level should other esta
blishments on Main Street decide to
do the same thing. Volume could be
set at any level.
It was decided that Commissioner
McLain would research this matter
and report back to the Commission.
Commissioner McLain gave a breakdown
of the meeting he and Councilman
Herlihy attended on the Hayward Hill
issue.
That meeting was Hayward's 18th
session. Much testimony was taken
from the group in attendance that
evening, most of whom were home-
owners or from the environmentalist-
oriented school of thought.
Basically, two alternatives were of-
fered - (1) limited development on
the ridges and the valleys, and (2)
limited development west of Palomare
Canyon and all of the space east of
Palomares Canyon, except where some
development had already occurred.
The Commission instructed the Haywar
staff to come back with detailed
analysis of the open space plan and
the limited development west of
Palomares Canyon. The planning area
map was incorrect as it showed their
planning area extending all the way
to Foothill Road. Later in the
meeting, they indicated this fact.
-::~ -
