4~'$ y
~~AN~° ~ CITY of PLEASANTON
~ ~.~ • ~ • •
,a
`~~~° Planning Commission
iM~~ e
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
Data October 3, 1972
Time : s : oo P .M.
PIGCe; Pleasanton Justice Court
MATTE RS FO R
COMMISSION'S REVIEW
Request by Mr. Preston Powell, to
relocate one parking space from the
plan submitted and approved by the
Design Review Board, for his multi-
ple complex at 1133 Kottinger Drive.
Present to speak for this matter
was Mr. Powell who explained that the
problem involved .here is the topo-
graphy which would make it most
inconvenient to locate a parking spac
in front of the structure. His pro-
posal is to move the westerly most
space over to the left hand side.
Considerable discussion followed, and
Secretary Castro's recommendation was
that no action be taken that evening,
but allow the staff to find out more
precisely what the exact distance is
in the front yard. The reason for
this is that it was learned that the
plot plan submitted indicated a
required distance of 20 f t. between
the apartment complex and the edge
of the proposed parking space for
the driveway. In measuring this it
was learned that the plot plan is
not to scale and the driveway is in I
fact less than 20 ft. wide.
It was agreed by the Commission, that)
the matter will be handled admini-
stratively. The driveway will have
to be measured to make sure that it ',
is the required width. Or, perhaps
a retaining wall can be built for
the fourth parking space as originally
approved.
If the matter cannot be handled ad-
ministratively, it will be brought
back to the Commission at the
October 17 meeting.
-3-
