4y$~s"N~°y CITY of PLEASANTON <br />~ '~~ • <br />.~ <br />`~~*° Planning Commission <br />~wrso t <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />Date October 17 , 19 72 <br />Time : 8 :22 P.M. <br />Place; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />He stated that in October, 1971, he w <br />before the Commission to make a conce <br />presentation of the overall project. <br />The plan approved by the Commission <br />then was submitted to HUD for a feasi <br />bility letter. The letter came in <br />April, 1972, and they would not relea <br />the feasibility until the sewer probl <br />was squared away. Between April and <br />May, 1972, they interviewed several <br />contractors to determine who would wo <br />with them. In going back to HUD, the <br />met with Mr. Swanson and were told <br />that revisions would need to be sub- <br />mitted in order that they conform wit <br />HUD's density "living unit intensity" <br />which is tied in with their conceptua <br />design criteria for planning. These <br />revisions must match the feasibility <br />letter filed with HUD. These revisio <br />essentially were incorporated with th <br />Planning Commission's approvals of <br />recommendations to come up with the <br />plan now before them. <br />s <br />t <br />e <br />Of the 131 units proposed, 40 units <br />will be devoted to senior citizen <br />housing and the remaining 91, compris ng <br />of one, two and three bedroom apartme ts, <br />will be relegated for low/moderate <br />income families. <br />These plans were originally submitted <br />in August, 1972, but because of delay <br />this was continued to October. <br />Mr. Alexander explained that the hous ng <br />will be divided into two sections - <br />the units for the elderly will be <br />immediately north of Vineyard Avenue, <br />which will also house the recreation <br />building and the family units lie nor h <br />of the extension of Vine Street. <br />Funding will be required from HUD for <br />improvement of Vine Street. <br />-19- <br />
