Abstain: <br />The City Attorney recommended that <br />the Commission give an indefinite con <br />tinuance pending the completion of <br />the study and final recommendation. <br />A motion was then offered to that <br />effect and carried. <br />VARIANCE REQUEST Arthur Hazarabedian - application for Res.: <br />V-72-50, Approved a variance to Sec. 2-11.23 subsection Seconded: <br />Res. 1213 (b) of the Ordinance Code of the City Ayes: <br />of Pleasanton to allow expansion of Noes: <br />the present veterinary facilities by Absent: <br />adding approximately 1400 sq. ft. of Abstain: <br />additional floor area, said addition <br />to take place at the present place of <br />business at 273 Spring Street, <br />Pleasanton. <br />Commissioner McLain wished to know <br />how staff arrived at the condition of <br />approval to allow a maximum of 10 <br />animals overnight on the premises. <br />Secretary Castro explained that in <br />discussing this matter with Dr. <br />Hazarabedian, he indicated that 10 <br />would be ample. <br />The Public Hearing was then opened. <br />Dr. Hazarabedian was present and told <br />the Commission that he practices in <br />Hayward, and that the Pleasanton <br />clinic, which has been operated by <br />Dr. Wilson, will be taken over by <br />that gentleman around the first of <br />the year if approval is given that <br />evening. <br />X <br />X <br />-9- <br />
