4~$ y
AsA"~° CITY of PLEASANTON
~ ~~• ~ . •
.~
`~~~° Planning Commission
rr ao t
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
Data November 14, 1972
Time ; 8:05 P.M.
PIQCe; Pleasanton Justice Court
In reviewing the report, Mr. Kenneth
Levy speaking for the applicant, in-
dicated he had no comments to offer
and complimented the staff on the
comprehensive report prepared.
The Public Hearing was then closed.
The Commission next directed its
attention to the design consideration:
Revised exhibits were submitted.
Secretary Castro stated that it is
extremely difficult to divorce onesel~
from the fact that this is a low-cost
funding project and that the Commissi<
must clarify in their own minds that
even taking this fact into considera-
tion, the proposed development would
meet with architectural requirements
compatible with the overall appearancE
or image-projection of the City.
Some possible modifications were of-
fered by the Secretary in the way of
the roofing material for the social
hall, some varying from the required
(size of planting materials and proper
(placement of these materials to gain
(the same attractive effect.
Mr. Castro did not feel revisions to
the social hall in the family section
would be detrimental as it is to the
rear of the development and not at
all visible from Vineyard Avenue.
Also, the modification to the Senior
Citizen units are a vast improvement.
The Public Hearing was then opened.
Mr. Levy again spoke for the applicant,
He stated that he has nothing further
to add; that they have done all that
could possibly be done .
n
.s .
-7-
