4~$ y <br />AsA"~° CITY of PLEASANTON <br />~ ~~• ~ . • <br />.~ <br />`~~~° Planning Commission <br />rr ao t <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />Data November 14, 1972 <br />Time ; 8:05 P.M. <br />PIQCe; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />In reviewing the report, Mr. Kenneth <br />Levy speaking for the applicant, in- <br />dicated he had no comments to offer <br />and complimented the staff on the <br />comprehensive report prepared. <br />The Public Hearing was then closed. <br />The Commission next directed its <br />attention to the design consideration: <br />Revised exhibits were submitted. <br />Secretary Castro stated that it is <br />extremely difficult to divorce onesel~ <br />from the fact that this is a low-cost <br />funding project and that the Commissi< <br />must clarify in their own minds that <br />even taking this fact into considera- <br />tion, the proposed development would <br />meet with architectural requirements <br />compatible with the overall appearancE <br />or image-projection of the City. <br />Some possible modifications were of- <br />fered by the Secretary in the way of <br />the roofing material for the social <br />hall, some varying from the required <br />(size of planting materials and proper <br />(placement of these materials to gain <br />(the same attractive effect. <br />Mr. Castro did not feel revisions to <br />the social hall in the family section <br />would be detrimental as it is to the <br />rear of the development and not at <br />all visible from Vineyard Avenue. <br />Also, the modification to the Senior <br />Citizen units are a vast improvement. <br />The Public Hearing was then opened. <br />Mr. Levy again spoke for the applicant, <br />He stated that he has nothing further <br />to add; that they have done all that <br />could possibly be done . <br />n <br />.s . <br />-7- <br />
