He fel <br />strongly that V.C.S.D. should be the <br />agency to make the correction rather <br />than put the City in a position to <br />have to replan the area in question. <br />Several motions were offered by the <br />Commission which did not receive a <br />majority vote to pass. These were: <br />A motion by Commissioner McLain and <br />seconded by Commissioner Pereira to <br />notice a statement of intent to the <br />City Council that Tract #3311 be re- <br />ferred to them as it is currently <br />zoned. The vote count was: Ayes: <br />McLain, Pereira Noes: Garrigan, <br />Pons Absent: Wood, <br />Chairman Pons offered a resolution <br />of intention to rezone Tract #3311 <br />to some form of zoning other than <br />residential. This did not receive <br />a second. <br />Commissioner Pereira indicated that <br />he could not support a probable 31 <br />acres of commercial uses in that pa <br />of the city. He further suggested <br />that perhaps the Commission should <br />study this matter further. <br />Commissioner Garrigan would be will- <br />ing to support Commissioner Pereira <br />in his suggestion as he could not <br />support the C-S as an alternative. <br />Also agrees with Commissioner McLain <br />that perhaps V.C.S.D, should be <br />brought into this matter.
