His inter-
pretation is that under AB 1301 shoul~
this area be rezoned and become non-
conforming with the present General
Plan designation, it would be dis-
qualified for the purpose being pro-
posed by this Planning Commission.
The City Attorney then stated his
position; that it is the City's
intention if at all possible to com-
plete land use study hearings by
January 1, 1973. However, taking
into account the growing possibility
that completion will go past
January 1, a Notice of Public Hearing)
has been advertised to take the
General Plan amendments into account.
This will meet the requirements
specified under AB 1301.
Mr. Pardini is opposed to this re-
zoning request. He spoke of the
compliances made by his organization
based on the City's commitments
regarding these parcels. He con-
cluded his remarks by stating that
they have spent in excess of
$20,000,000 on the Val Vista develop-
ment.
Mr. Chandler spoke again that it was
his belief the families who bought
in this development did so with the
understanding that the balance of
the area was going to be developed
in accordance with the P.U.D.
-5-
