M.
PIOCe: Pleasanton Justice Court
Commission. Because there was insuf-
ficient time to make a determination,
this matter was continued to January
9, 1973.
Continued to Report Re: Jurisdictional Boundaries
January 9, 1973 between Pleasanton and Livermore.
Secretary Castro advised the
Commission that this was a matter
that was being reviewed by the
Valley Planning Committee.
A map was demonstrated indicating the
boundary lines as the two cities,
would propose them to be. The real
change would be adjustment of the
boundaries as they pertain to school
district jurisdiction.
The intent is to "swap" certain
areas with Livermore to realize a
more logical alignment.
Other areas of involvement would be
Parks and Recreation and also for
tax purposes. Assessment studies
have been conducted, which have also
been the basis for this review.
Commissioner McLain wished to know
whether any obligations would be
attached to establishment of these
boundary lines.
Mr. Edgar, City Manager, answered in
the affirmative, that once these
boundaries are established, the
LAFC will not approve any juris-
dictions within our sphere of influ-
ence.. Mr. Edgar stated that LAFC
will be holding public hearings on
establishing the City boundaries
and hopefully, that School and Park
Districts will recognize the bounda-
ries that are established.
