CITY of PLEASANTON <br />Planning Commission <br />MINUTES ~pF REGULAR MEETING. <br />QQ1e Z January 23, 1973 <br />Time: s:oo P.M. <br />PIaQe: Pleasanton Justice Court <br />MATTERS FOR COM- <br />MISSION'S REVIEW <br />App., Res. 1223 <br />Chairman Pons wished to know if there <br />could be some way the needed amount <br />of paving and accesses could be ob- <br />tained without sacrificing the three <br />large oak trees in the vicinity of <br />the high school. Mr. Sooby explained <br />that the most expeditious and econom- <br />ical manner to align Foothill Road <br />would be to eliminate the three trees <br />He further explained that the High <br />School District would share in the <br />improvements of Foothill Road, if <br />the improvements are introduced at <br />the time the high school is construc- <br />ted. At another time, the School <br />District would not be eligible for <br />State funding to -aid in the improve- <br />ment of that portion of Foothill Road <br />that fronts the high school. <br />Considerable discussion ensued. <br />When there appeared to be no possible <br />solution at this hearing, the Com- <br />mission requested that the Engineerin <br />staff propose one other alternative <br />and return with the plan at the next <br />meeting. <br />~~ <br />Pleasanton's Bicycle, Horse & Hiking Res: <br />Trail Systems - Discussion and Pre- Sec: <br />sentation by the Department of Com- Ayes: <br />munity Development.
