They personalkly <br />preferred the 500-800 growth rate, with Mr. ;, <br />Rudy Gatti, Superintendent of the Pleasanton,! <br />School District preferring the 800 for the <br />next five years based on the fact that last <br />year 2,200 building permits were issued and :, <br />this year only 432. This type of fluctuation <br />makes it extremely difficult fora School ~ <br />District to project their growth rates. II <br />There are problems foreseen with the High <br />School District. Dr. Carlisle has indicate <br />250 will cause problems. Mr. Castro felt <br />that his final report will more than likely <br />endorse a 500-800 growth rate. <br />Phase 2 - 1978-1983 <br />Population - 57,975. <br />By this phase, all outstanding tentative, <br />zoned and final lots will have been absorbe <br />and new areas for development would be <br />considered. These would include the Martin <br />Mohr area, properties around the Lund Ranch <br />and easterly of the Vintage Hills developee <br />Improvements needed will be completion of <br />Foothill Road between Stoneridge Drive and <br />West Las Positas Blvd., which is essential. <br />It is also necessary to look at the W.Las <br />Positas interchange and should be extended <br />to the park during this period. <br />As far as other streets, Hopyard Road should <br />be improved between the bridge or park area <br />and the Del Valle Parkway, extension of <br />Del Valle up to Santa Rita Road. Also, con- <br />sider extension of Valley Avenue between the <br />Mackay development and Bernal Avenue, since <br />most of this area will be developed. <br />-8- <br /> <br />
