Place; Pleasanton Justice Court Senior Planner Harris explained that the City's report is a consensus report of all Departments. Commissioner Garrigan referred to Page 2, first paragraph, which dealt with staff's feelings regarding certain modifications to the plan which they would-like to see. One item they would like to change is the remova of the oleander plantings, due to their poi- sonous nature. Senior Planner Harris direct ` the Commission's attention to Condition ~~6, which specifies that all plant materials conform to the recommendation of the Park an ' Landscape Design Section. Mr. Bowling then spoke, requesting permissio '. to plant 5-gal. trees rather than 15-gal., which is a policy with the City. Mr. Bowlin stated that there will be 150 trees planted, and the cost variance will be considerable since a 5-gal. tree costs $5, as opposed to $20 for a 15-gal. tree. Mr. Bowling also brought up the possibility of a $6,000 payme to Zone 7, which he is hoping to get taken o but which he has no guarantee will be done. ~ I Discussion followed. The Commissioners thought that perhaps the ~ fast-growing variety could be 5-gal. in size, Ilbut that the balance should be 15-gal. (Commissioner Wood suggested that subject to approval of City staff working with the land scape architect, the fast-growing trees be allowed to be 5-gal. in size, with the balanc being 15-gal. in size; but with the under- standing that a minimum of 50% of all trees planted be 15-gal. in size. A motion was then offered by Commissioner Garrigan, seconded by Commissioner Wood and carried, approving the final plans for Kottinger Village Park. '- i
