CITY of PLEASANTON
Planning Commission
MINuT~~ ~Q~F REGULAR MEETING.
DQt4 ~ March 27, 1973
Timp: s:os P.M.
PIQCA~ Pleasanton Justice Court
Denied
The Commissioners felt this recom-
mendation was fair and workable and
a motion, offered by Commissioner
Carrigan, seconded by Commissioner
McLain, and carried, was adopted
approving the vehicle screening guide
lines as set forth in the staff repor
of March 27, 1973.
Letter from Mr. Robert Myers request-
ing reconsideration of Condition No.
2 pertaining to landscaping attached
to design approval of the convales-
cent hospital at 300 Neal Street.
Motion
Seconded:
Ayes:
Noes
Absent:
Abstain:
Mr. Myers was present and showed the
Commissioners a plot plan of the
landscaping which was approved ad-
ministratively for this convalescent
hospital. There will be a total of
74 trees and 512 shrubs . He told the
Commission that the question of 5 and
15 gallon trees is a matter of seman-
tics. In December of 1971, he got an
''estimate from a landscape contractor.
He explained that in January, all the
1-gal. plants are moved into the 5-ga
containers and the 5-gal. plants are
moved into-the 15-gal. containers.
Unfortunately, with the wet winter,
it has been impossible to do any land
scaping work in January. They now
plan to do the landscaping work in
April or May and the cost will be
much higher. Mr. Myers indicated
that they world rather put the funds
into patient convenience such as new
fire safety devices, etc.
Mr. Myers spoke of an increase of
$5,000 in cost to them. Discussion
followed.
-6-
