CITY of PLEASANTON <br />Planning Commission <br />MINuT~~ ~Q~F REGULAR MEETING. <br />DQt4 ~ March 27, 1973 <br />Timp: s:os P.M. <br />PIQCA~ Pleasanton Justice Court <br />Denied <br />The Commissioners felt this recom- <br />mendation was fair and workable and <br />a motion, offered by Commissioner <br />Carrigan, seconded by Commissioner <br />McLain, and carried, was adopted <br />approving the vehicle screening guide <br />lines as set forth in the staff repor <br />of March 27, 1973. <br />Letter from Mr. Robert Myers request- <br />ing reconsideration of Condition No. <br />2 pertaining to landscaping attached <br />to design approval of the convales- <br />cent hospital at 300 Neal Street. <br />Motion <br />Seconded: <br />Ayes: <br />Noes <br />Absent: <br />Abstain: <br />Mr. Myers was present and showed the <br />Commissioners a plot plan of the <br />landscaping which was approved ad- <br />ministratively for this convalescent <br />hospital. There will be a total of <br />74 trees and 512 shrubs . He told the <br />Commission that the question of 5 and <br />15 gallon trees is a matter of seman- <br />tics. In December of 1971, he got an <br />''estimate from a landscape contractor. <br />He explained that in January, all the <br />1-gal. plants are moved into the 5-ga <br />containers and the 5-gal. plants are <br />moved into-the 15-gal. containers. <br />Unfortunately, with the wet winter, <br />it has been impossible to do any land <br />scaping work in January. They now <br />plan to do the landscaping work in <br />April or May and the cost will be <br />much higher. Mr. Myers indicated <br />that they world rather put the funds <br />into patient convenience such as new <br />fire safety devices, etc. <br />Mr. Myers spoke of an increase of <br />$5,000 in cost to them.
