The answer was no. <br />Senior Planner Harris explained this <br />was a request to the staff, and was <br />handled through an administrative <br />denial . Mr . Kuhnke appe ale d that <br />decision, which is why the matter <br />ent before the Commission for their <br />opinion on this matter. <br />Chairman Pons advised Mr. Kuhnke that <br />if he wished, he could file a formal <br />application with the City, and appeal <br />the matter to the City Council. <br />Approved Guidelines for screening of vehicles Motion <br />on residential property as noted un- Seconded: <br />der Sec. 2-5.47(f) of Article 3, Ayes: <br />Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Noes: <br />Code of the City of Pleasanton. Absent: <br />Abstain: <br />The staff report was presented to the <br />Commission with the recommendation <br />being that if a homeowner uses a six- <br />foot high fence~or fence and gate <br />constructed of materials that are <br />architecturally compatible with his <br />home and with his neighborhood, and <br />if a minimum of 50~ of the vehicle <br />in question is screened, it would be <br />jdeemed acceptable and can be handled <br />by staff. If any other method of <br />screening is proposed or if there is <br />a question about the materials being <br />used, or if less than 50~ of the <br />vehicle will be screened, then the <br />matter needs to be reviewed by the <br />Design Review Board. <br />xl XI xix <br />-5- <br />
